About
I am a mixed-media artist working from my purpose-built home studio in the beautiful, historic town of Uppingham, Rutland. My work explores shape, colour, and texture in abstract and semi-abstract forms, guided by playful experimentation and an intuitive response to materials.

With a background in printed textiles, I spent many years freelancing for international companies, studios, and design agencies. My hand-drawn, technique-led designs were created for fashion, home furnishings, and paper products, and were regularly exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, London, Europe, and Japan.
Alongside my design career, I was a part-time university lecturer for over 20 years on the BA (Hons) Textiles course at De Montfort University, Leicester, as well as at other universities. This design experience continues to influence my visual language, particularly my use of pattern, composition, and abstraction.
